Welcome to Swartland Self Catering, newly renovated in 2021 to a high standard, a stunning Farmhouse property, situated in the heart of Neolithic Orkney. Swartland is a fully working 300 acre organic beef farm located 1 mile from the Village of Dounby. The farm has been in the Wylie family for over 100 years and Steven and Sharon Wylie started working Swartland in 2006. In 2009 they started rebuilding the farm buildings and carried out renovating the old stone buildings into houses and finished up with the farm house in July 2021. Swartland sits on some of the most fertile soil in a large valley in the centre of the west side of Orkney's mainland which makes for a peaceful stay surrounded with beautiful views and native wildlife.
