In walking distance of St Magnus Cathedral (St Magnus Cathedral tour times ) , Orkney Museum, Earls & Bishops Palaces Kirkwall , shops, restaurants & bars, the Kirkwall Travel Centre and the harbour where you can catch the ferry to Orkney's North Isles (see Orkney Ferries for timetables).

The house is suitable for up to 4 guests and features:-
- A double bedroom with king size bed, LCD TV and blackout curtains
- A twin bedroom with 2 single beds and blackout curtains
- A comfortable lounge with 40" flat screen TV, DVD player and iPhone docking station/radio
- A dining kitchen with dishwasher and electric hob and oven
- A utility room with microwave and washing machine and;
- A bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet, basin and electric towel rail

We have many annual festivals taking place in Orkney, these include the St Magnus Festival, Orkney International Science Festival , Orkney Folk Festival and the slightly newer addition of an Orkney Gin Festival!
The landscapes of Orkney seem to inspire creativity and as a result we are lucky enough to have a large number of jewellery designers, craftspeople and artists here in Orkney.
Jewellers including Sheila Fleet , Aurora Jewellery, Ortak, Alison Moore, Rachel Blair, to name a few, design and make their jewellery here in Orkney and it's sometimes possible to visit their workshops to see the pieces being made. An item of Orkney jewellery makes the perfect gift or momento of your time here, the hardest bit will be deciding which piece to go for!
There are numerous galleries around Orkney, the most famous being the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness, but there are many smaller galleries dotted all over the Mainland as well as in the Isles, from the Hoxa Tapestry Gallery in South Ronaldsay to the Wheeling Steen Gallery gallery in Westray.
