The Shambles is a family favourite with many guests returning to enjoy the ample space and luxury finishing's. The features of the lodge and family friendly focus make it a great choice for families.
With two living rooms, both with wood burning stoves, you can choose which room you want to settle in for a relaxing evening. A cosy lounge downstairs is a great spot for a dram in front of the fire while the airy upstairs lounge which has A large selection of board games and DVDs makes it a great space for a sociable games or movie night.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with lots of tableware and plenty of space for all of your guests - it has patio doors that lead out into the back garden.
The master bedroom has an additional child's bed - just for families who might need it. Robes and slippers as well as 3 towels per person, complete the luxurious offering.
The garden is fully enclosed, perfect if you are looking for a pet friendly lodge. Children will also love to use this space - a lovely playhouse will keep them entertained for hours on end. The decked area has ample seating for outdoor dining and the BBQ hut will comfortably seat the whole party inside it. A great idea for when the sun goes down.
A luxury lodge in Aviemore wouldn’t be complete without a hot tub, and the one here is first class.
Aviemore child friendly lodge
The Shambles is a family home so if you are looking for a child friendly self catering holiday - this Aviemore lodge is a great choice. We understand the needs of parents on holiday which is why our self catering accommodation is carefully selected with families in mind.
We have a cot and a high chair for your use, and a linen pack is provided. In the kitchen, you will find plenty of childrens cutlery and plates for dinner time. We have provided fire guards and socket protectors for your child’s safety. We hope your kids enjoy the extras we have here at The Shambles.
The Shambles is in a fantastic location and offers easy access to the Aviemore orbital route and Speyside way which means your holiday lodge is just a stone's throw from the country side and River Spey. Walks and bike rides are literally on the doorstep, and the shops and restaurants that Aviemore offers are only a 15 to 20 minute walk away.
There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, a double ensuite, a twin, and a single room which has an additional pull out bed to make it a double. Upstairs is a large master bedroom ensuite, with a toddler bed for your convenience. There is a travel cot for guest use - a linen pack is included.
On the ground floor, there is a living room styled in Anta furnishings with a wood burning stove. A large kitchen also hosts a breakfast bar, dining table and small sofa. There is a utility room with washer and a dryer. Further along on the ground floor, there is a family bathroom with bath/shower, twin room, double en suite and a single room that kids will love - this room comes with additional pull out single trundle bed ( sleeps 2). Upstairs is another spacious lounge and doors open out onto a deck, with additional wood burning stove and a large Anta styled master bedroom ensuite.
The gardens are fully enclosed and include covered parking at the front of the property for up to 4 cars. The rear garden boasts a playhouse and a slide for little ones, a decked eating area and BBQ hut, a large hot tub and grassed area. The side garden is grassed with a stone wall and gate enclosing it.
The ground floor has bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living room and guests would have good use of the facilities. There are steps into the property and steps out at the back door.
