This country house hotel enjoys the most enviable of locations - St Andrews, the home of golf with the famous Old Course, is right on the doorstep. Non-golfers don't be scared off. The medieval town also offers excellent shopping, museums and restaurants and in recent years is famed for the royal romance that blossomed at the University. In this tranquil corner of Fife there are also the quaint fishing ports of Crail, Anstruther and Pittenweem, from where there are superb coastal walks linking one village to the other along the cliff paths or across sandy beaches.
Family owned and managed since the 1950’s, Rufflets has been awarded AA Scottish Hotel of the Year 2015-2016, for its beautiful grounds and gardens, 24 luxurious bedrooms and excellent cuisine combined with a laid back and relaxed atmosphere.
The dining experience brings our stunning award-winning gardens into the restaurant by drawing inspiration from the changing seasons. Enjoy dishes which capture the freshest flavours and showcase produce coming in from the garden and our local suppliers. The main menu is served 12pm-9pm every day, and the highly-acclaimed afternoon tea is served 2pm-4.30pm.
The accommodation offers comfortable and contemporary décor and the fabulous Turret rooms are a must with their spectacular view across the formal gardens. Rufflets is not a stuffy place and it really is great for families; a range of family and child friendly accommodation is available in both the main house and the lodges within the grounds. Dogs are welcome in the lodges by prior arrangement.
