Glamping at Harvest Moon Holidays, in East Lothian, Scotland. Just 45 mins from Edinburgh. We have 7 fabulously spacious beach cabins, 7 treehouses and a cottage. All accommodation comes complete with en suite WC and hot showers and are situated next to a magnificent beach!
Situated on one of East Lothian's most beautiful farms just 45 minutes from Edinburgh, Lochhouses boasts a magnificent beach, adjoining the John Muir Country Park between North Berwick and Dunbar which, according to Scottish Holidays and Scotland Breaks travel guides, has less rain and more sunshine than any other part of the UK!
We have 7 Beach Cabins, 7 Treehouses and a cottage. All cabins and Treehouses have wood-burning stoves, en suite WCs and Hot showers. On site we also have a farm shop, BBQ and campfire facilities as well as our goats, chickens,alpacas, lambs and ponies. The cottage also has wifi and a wood burning stove.
The surrounding area is great for walking,cycling,riding, fishing, surfing and the abundance of wildlife makes it an ideal location for nature and countryside enthusiasts. There is also East Links Family Park and if you are feeling brave Fox Lake Wake-board park just a stones-throw away. This is the perfect location for your family holiday, wedding, romantic get-away or even just getting together with friends!
Directions
From the North of Edinburgh and Edinburgh
Take the City Bypass A720 dual carriageway from Edinburgh (signposted to Berwick-upon-Tweed). At the end of the City Bypass, keep following signs for Berwick-upon-Tweed A1 then Exit at the 2nd Haddington sliproad signposted to East Linton. When you come to the roundabout off this sliproad, take the 2nd exit to East Linton on A199. Stay on this road past the East Linton turn-off and past the next 2 signs which read "Knowes", take the next road left at the signpost which reads A198 to North Berwick, Tyninghame and Whitekirk. Stay on this road through the village of Tyninghame until you see a signpost for Lochhouses on your left at a bad left hand bend in the road. Turn right here into Lochhouses where you will see signs for Harvest Moon Holidays. Follow these signs on the road past the row of farm cottages until you come to the farmyard, carry on past the back door of the farmhouse where the road becomes the rougher track to the beach. You will continue to see signs to the site. Follow these signs down to the Harvest Moon Holiday site car park near the beach where you will be met during the check-in times between 4 and 6pm. If you are going to be late, please email us info@harvestmoonholidays.com to arrange check-in.
By Train/Bus:Trains - either to Dunbar Station which is on the main East Coast line and is only 10 minutes by taxi from the farm or take a train from Edinburgh Waverly Station (Scotrail service) on the North Berwick line. North Berwick station is only 10 minutes away by taxi too. Have the taxi turn into Lochhouses where you will see signs for Harvest Moon Holidays. Follow these signs on the road past the row of farm cottages until you come to the farmyard, carry on past the back door of the farmhouse where the road becomes the rougher track to the beach. You will continue to see signs to the site.Follow these signs down to the Harvest Moon Holiday site car park near the beach where you will be met during the check-in times between 4 and 6pm.
