On the quiet side of Loch Ness, and set in 1.5 acres of garden and 12 acres of adjoining fields to the river, we offer well equipped rooms, comfortable lounge (log fire, large TV) and spectacular views towards the Monadhliath Mountains - and of course, a warm welcome. In addition, we have just had installed Superfast Broadband on a wireless network.
Situated 3 miles from Loch Ness’ Southern shores, we are 7 miles from Fort Augustus and 23 miles from Inverness. The B862 is a quiet road and attracts cyclists, motor cyclists, hikers (we are a short walk from the South Loch Ness Trail which borders our property) and drivers who might want to escape the more popular tourist routes on the North side of Loch Ness.
The house is set in 1.5 acres of garden and paddock with 12 acres of adjoining fields to the river, Allt Breineag. The surrounding countryside and wildlife are stunning. We usually have barn owls in the owl box, curlew, lapwing and wheatear in the field, and we see dippers and sandpipers on the river. Red deer, hares, stoats and pine martins are also frequently seen in the area and, if your lucky, a golden eagle or sea eagle.

We presently provide 3 double rooms, (Blue Room is ensuite, Yellow and Bracken Rooms share a bathroom), prices vary between £50 and £80 per night according to room and seasons. Facilities include SmartTV all bedrooms, large smart TV in the visitors' lounge. We also provide Superfast Internet access & use of PC if guests need this. Yellow and Bracken Rooms will be available from March 2019 and would be ideal for family bookings since the rooms are side-by-side with the shared bathroom immdiately adjacent.
You can pay by cheque, cash, American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Maestro. Bookings are taken over the phone or by email and you pay at the end of your stay.
