Clouds B&B has been blessed by having the opportunity of hosting wonderful guests from all over the world.
We're located in 4 acres of our own land, 4 miles north of Uig with it's ferry port to The Western Isles - There is a large garden trail and outside decks and seating for guests. Guests can feed the hens and lambs (seasonal) by request.
In 'The Studio' We provide a luxury double room with a private balcony with Sea Views over the Minch to The Western Isles. Our Family Room can accommodate up to five people travelling together. Children (and Parents!) especially like the design of our unique 'cabin' room within a room in 'The Apartment'. This large room also has a picture window with Sea views toward The Ascrib Islands - otherwise known as Puffin Island in season - local boat journeys are available from Uig just a few miles to the South.
This area contains some of the most striking landscapes in all of Scotland, including the famous Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing, Kilt Rock, Duntulm and much more, all within 20-40 minutes of Clouds. Children will love The Fairy Glen, Staffin Beach and 50 recently discovered Dinosaur footprints at Brothers Point. There are loads of high quality cafe’s, galleries, restaurants, activity centres and much much more.
We provide a Continental breakfast to all guests in the privacy of your rooms every day. Dietary requirements can be catered for on request.
We grow our own vegetables with varying degrees of success. We’ve just lifted our first batch of new (salad) potatoes for the year and they were fantastic. We generate some of our own electricity through solar panels on our land and all our hot water to the house is provided by an air source heat pump.
We aim to cut all single use plastic we use ourselves and which we offer to our guests by providing filtered water in glass containers, rather than in plastic bottles, and we provide recyclable bags and containers whenever we can. We’d love to learn from anyone with good ideas about sustainable ways in which to live, but everyone has their own way, and we respect that.
Please come and stay with us. We'd love to welcome you to the Clouds!
