The Globe Inn

The Globe is an historic inn since 1610, curious minds, deep thinkers, merry souls and discerning drinkers have whiled away the hours within its walls.

The Globe retains its roots as an inn, so you’re welcome to pass the time at the bar or in the historic Snug. There you can select a dram from over 300 whiskies (the largest selection of Single Cask-Single Malts in the region), taste various local ales, savour exotic gins and rums, or enjoy an expertly mixed cocktail.

Enter The Globe from the narrow close, turn right, past the Snug to enter the main bar and restaurant, where great ales and whiskies, delicious food and a warm welcome awaits. Lovingly refurbished, you can relax and enjoy yourself amidst classic scenes from Tam o’Shanter depicted in three stained glass panels and an epic mural.
