Old Kilmun House
Old Kilmun House is a stunning, wonderfully restored large holiday house in a beautiful area of Scotland. Built in the early 1700's in an excellent location for walking, cycling, golfing, fishing, sailing, water-sports and sight-seeing.
Old Kilmun House is a truly magical Scottish country house set within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Occupying an elevated waterside position, overlooking Holy Loch in the tranquil village of Kilmun, the spacious property with glorious gardens has everything needed for a truly relaxing and restorative holiday.
The Duke of Argyll originally built this stone manor house in 1696 and it was once home to James Duncan, founder of the nearby Benmore Botanic Gardens, in the nineteenth century. Owners Ross and Katy Olusanya have extensively renovated this elegant house to breathe new life into this delightful property. As well as being a cherished family home, it is available as a luxury holiday rental.
Magnificent Gardens
This stunning house has 1.4 acres of beautiful gardens, featuring idyllic waterfalls and burns, and an outdoor seating area with a luxury hot tub overlooking the loch and surrounding forest, perfect for evening sundowners! There is a fully equipped yurt for yoga in the grounds, as the house is regularly booked for yoga retreats due to its peaceful and restorative setting. Families with young children will enjoy the gorgeous wooden play house on the front lawn and ‘secret’ swing, hidden in a leafy glade.

The house features superb original features, including the striking oak panelled dining room and beautiful stone fireplaces. As well as reflecting the house’s traditional Scottish aesthetic with tartan carpets and local artwork, it also features more contemporary home comforts including a fully refurbished, stylish kitchen and panelled basement cinema room, the ideal spot for cosy movie nights! Upstairs there are 7 comfortable bedrooms, across 2 floors, sleeping 16 in total.

The local area has plenty of highlights for guests to discover in a region renowned for its scenic splendour. The house is surrounded by incredible walks, such as the magical Pucks Glen which is next to the property.
