Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park is situated on the South side of Edinburgh and set within a 200 acre country estate lies the beautifully maintained Mortonhall Caravan and Camping Park. Just 15 minutes from the city centre and 5 minutes from the city bypass by car and with a bus link every 15 minutes at the end of the drive it is very accessible to all.
Mortonhall accommodates touring caravans, motorhomes, tents and has 20 holiday homes for hire and 8 wooden wigwams and new to 2017 we have 3 compact and bijou Shepherd Huts. The modern facilities include fabulous toilet blocks with free showers and under floor heating, chemical disposal points, well stocked licensed shop providing groceries, gifts and caravan accessories, fully equipped laundry and kitchen facilities. There is also a bar and restaurant on site, games room and TV lounge. Our self-catering Thistle award holiday homes sleep up to 8 people in 1 double room and 2 twin rooms with a double bed settee in the lounge area. All linen and towels are provided for your party. The kitchens are fully fitted and include a microwave and fridge freezer and all holiday homes have a flat screen TV with DVD player and Freeview. An easy access holiday home is also available for wheelchair assisted guests (Cat 2 accessible).Our compact, bijou and perfectly formed Shepherd Huts (accomodates 2/3) offer a bespke alternative self-catering glamping experience. Extremely well insulated with en-suite WC and onboard shower, King size "Duvalay" mattress with super king size Wgyptian cotton duvet, micro kitchen with Belfast sink, a living flame fire and cosy fireside chairs. Watch the smart TV or listen to the DAB radio. There is a stable door to the entrance and the outdoors is a picnic bench and cctv monitored parking area. Be the first to try!
Our wooden wigwams are fully insulated with controllable heating and have a microwave, kettle, fridge and TV. You will have to bring your own sleeping bags, linen and towels but there is a kitchen with cooking facilities nearby and all wigwams have their own BBQ area. Motorhome, caravan touring and camping guests can be accommodated on either grass or hard standing pitches with or without electricity and with easy access to shower, WC and chemical disposal facilities. There is a launderette with ironing facility on site and numerous picnic benches and play areas for children. Our fantastic all weather BBQ hut seats up to 12. The traditional Scandinavian design with high quality Scandinavian Spruce wood offers you the opportunity to enjoy your bbq come rain or shine. If you don't feel like cooking, why not come and try our CAMRA listed Stable Bar & Restaurant on the park, with its seasonal log fire you'll enjoy great locally sourced food freshly cooked to order, and don't gorget the traditional Scottish Ales. We have a shop, games room and TV lounge onsite and The Stable Bar and Restaurant is open all year.
