Linwater Caravan Park is a family run campsite on the rural outskirts of Edinburgh. The site offers pitches for camping and touring, all with electric hookups. In addition to it's spacious offering of level pitches, you can stay in a static caravan, or luxury self catering lodge.
If you are looking for a qulaity campsite on the Central Belt of Scotland with easy access to Edinburgh and central Scotland then Linwater is a perfct choice.
This family run caravan park offers electric pitches, all with water at the pitch as well as a variety of self catering options to suit different budgets. For the capstie you can choose from grass or hard standing and for 2022, the site has added large fully serviced pitches with drainage. If you are looking for self catering there is the option of static carvans or lodges; with varying levels of luxury depending on what you choose.
On site thre is a fenced play park, dog walking area, reception with small shop, immaculate toilet and shower block, laundry facilities, fresh water supply and disposal areas for tourers. There is indoor dish washing within a fully heated campers kitchen that also has dining space, cookers a microwave and TV as well as plug sockets for charging your phone. There is foot access routes for the Almondell and Calderwood country parks and Union Canal and the bottom of the dog walk offers spectacular views over the Lins Mill Aqeaduct and Almond Valley as well as river access through our farm fields. You can even purchase fishing permits for the west lothian stretch of the river on site!
If you like to cycle there is easy access within one mile to the National Cycle Network routes for Edinburgh, Glasgow, Livingston and beyond.
In 2018 Linwater Caravan Park was awarded Best Caravan Park in Scotland at the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards adn was a runner up for the best Customer services category in 2019; the last event before the pandemic. It has recieved the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for the last 5 years and was listed in the top 100 sites guide in 2019 as well as many other accolates. Most recently, this park has been awarded the Green Tourism Gold award and is a real living wage UK accreddited employer.

You are now just a 15 minute walk to the nearest bus stop for Edinburgh and 4 miles from the highly acclaimed Edinburgh Tram Park and Ride it is easy to reach Scotlands capital city in just under 40 minutes. It is also located perfectly for those out of town day trips to tourist spots such as the Kelpies (30 minutes), Falkirk Wheel (40 minutes), Linlithgow Palace (20 minutes) and much more. Kirkliston train station is just over a mile away where you can also take a train to Glasgow.
