Achmore Cottage
Located in the crofting township of Achmore in the centre of Lewis, this extensively renovated cottage has stunning views south across the myriad of sparkling fresh water lochs and extensive moorland towards the majestic Harris Hills.
The property is ideally situated for exploring the island by car, bicycle or on foot, as the recently established Hebridean Way pass through Achmore.
Sleeping up to 4 people, the cottage is arranged over a single level. There are two double bedrooms – one with an en-suite shower room and walk in wardrobe, and one with two twin beds which, if you prefer, zip and link together to form a superking size bed. The separate family bathroom has a bath and a walk-in power shower. The cosy sitting room has a multifuel stove set on a slate hearth, and the kitchen/ diner enjoys evening sunlight through 3 windows.
In keeping with its character, the cottage has been furnished in a modern country style, including solid oak furniture. Each bed is dressed in crisp, white egyptian cotton linen, and top quality, mattresses for a blissful nights sleep. Modern technology hasn’t been overlooked with WiFi available throughout the cottage and a 43 inch smart tv is available for quiet nights in. In the kitchen, a dishwasher and washer/dryer are available along with a fridge/freezer, ceramic hob and electric fan oven..
The garden has a secluded patio area and is equipped with furniture for outdoor picnics. Please note we don’t accept pets in Achmore Cottage.
