View Cottage is set in the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, with views towards Loch Earn. It provides comfortable accommodation for up to four people over two levels, and is an ideal base for a range of outdoor activities.
View Cottage is conveniently situated near local amenities in Lochearnhead. The village post office is at the foot of the drive and the village store is within 100 yards.
A convivial drink or meal can be enjoyed in the village's two hotels which are a 10 minute walk from the cottage.
The cottage has its own private garden of half an acre in which you can relax and admire the view from the seating provided.
Children are welcome but parents of very young children should be aware that there is a pond and a stream in the garden.
Whether you enjoy a strenuous hill walk or a quiet evening stroll you will find plenty of variety nearby. There are numerous Munros and Corbetts within 30 minute's drive including our two local Munros of Ben Vorlich and Stuc a' Chroin. Lower level walks can be enjoyed from the cottage and throughout the National Park.
A number of picturesque golf courses such as St. Fillans, Comrie, Killin, Crieff and Callander are less than 30 minutes by car. Gleneagles is easily reached within the hour. The Perthshire Green Card offers discounted green fees on 19 of the county's courses.
The National Cycle Route 7 passes through Lochearnhead giving traffic free cycling on the former railway track between Callander and Killin. Scenic local rides can also be enjoyed on the quiet roads along Balquhidder Glen and the southern shores of Loch Earn and Loch Tay. For guests who may be interested in watersports, Lochearnhead Water Sports Centre offers a whole range of activities on Loch Earn and facilities for launching your own craft.
Salmon and trout can be fished on Loch Earn, either by boat or from the bank. Permits and bait are available locally. A little further afield you will find more than enough lochs and rivers to keep you fishing.
Red squirrels and a wide variety of birdlife may be attracted to the cottage garden, where roe deer may also be spotted at dawn and dusk.
