The Coach House is a cosy period cottage set in 1900 acres of tranquil parkland on the historic Duns Castle estate.
This unusual property is adjacent to St Mary’s House but is completely self-contained with private entrance and garden area, and offers cosy accommodation with considerable character.
The Coach House has two bedrooms and sleeps up to three people comfortably.
The Coach House is a self-catering holiday cottage which is ideal for couples, families, walkers and fishermen who’d like to get away from a busy lifestyle to stay in a rustic and comfortably furnished cottage which is nestled in the countryside with plenty of fresh air and peace of quiet.
All cottages are just a 30 minute drive from sandy beaches and are perfectly positioned to make the most of a holiday in Scotland’s Border country. Providing comfortable accommodation, they each enjoy access to walks in the extensive grounds, which include deciduous woodland, hill vistas, a nature reserve and a splendid lake.
Make your stay in this historic Scottish castle estate complete with some outdoor activities including croquet, tennis, falconry, fishing, archery, clay pigeon shooting and off-road driving, which can all be arranged by request.
Property details: Ground floor: Dining room/kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Steep stairs to first floor: Living room, single bedroom leads to double bedroom. Tumble dryer, dishwasher and fridge-freezer included. Outside seating area with furniture, parking for two cars and natural water supply from spring.
Included in the hire of all properties is gas-fired central heating (controlled by owner), electricity and bed linen. Towel hire is available. All self-catering cottages feature Freeview television, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and a shared use of tennis court. All properties are non-smoking. Please note there is an unfenced lake in the castle grounds. Cots and highchairs are available on request. Rental week runs Friday to Friday.ore information
