Ancarraig Lodges - 12 dog friendly Scandinavian style lodges directly on the Great Glen Way providing comfortable self-catering accommodation in a stunning countryside location. OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND - Ancarraig is the ideal tranquil base to explore Loch Ness and the surrounding Highland areas.
Our pet friendly self catering lodges are located in a wonderfully tranquil and secluded woodland setting where complete peace and quiet as well as a truly relaxing holiday is guaranteed. Nestled in 12 acres of private woodland, there are beatiful walks to be had straight from the door.
All lodges have an open plan lounge/kitchen with cosy log-burner, dining table, flat screen TV, a well equipped kitchen with conventional cooker and microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, a bathroom with over bath shower and a private outside veranda with further dining facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided and beds are made up ready for your arrival. There is parking for one car outside each lodge, with extra parking available at reception. WiFi is available in each lodge (at rural speeds!).
A car is recommended for your stay, since Ancarraig Lodges are located 3 miles from Drumnadrochit in a rural location.
We have a number of types of lodge here at Ancarraig, each the same size sleeping four people across one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.
Thistle: All of our standard Thistle lodges have been redecorated and upgraded since 2015, with constant improvements being made.
Rosemoor: These 4 lodges been fully refurbished to include USB charger sockets and large flat-screen televisions, double glazing throughout as well as upgraded appliances, features, furniture and facilities in all rooms to include upgraded kitchen and bathroom suites.
The Wood Hatch: The first of our individually decorated Lodges, bursting with character and named in homage to its creator, The Bearded Woodworker. The Wood Hatch is just the right combination of cosy cabin and funky hang-out; we hope you love it as much as we do!
Pets are welcome at Ancarraig for a charge of £15 per pet per stay (max 2). Cots, highchairs and fireguards can be hired free of charge,and BBQs are available to hire. We can also make your stay extra special with the addition of a breakfast hamper or celebration package - see our special extras.
All lodges are non-smoking except on the outside verandas.
Our lodges are raised off the ground so are accessed by a small number of steps – please check with us if you are unsure about accessibility for your party
