Take in the Firth of Forth as you travel along the stunning East Lothian coastline. Pass through the ancient coastal conservation villages of Aberlady, Gullane and Dirleton. Stop and admire the beautiful architecture of their churches, castles and old houses.
From the Scottish Seabird Centre see Puffins, Cormorants and the world’s largest colony of Gannets. Take a boat trip to the Bass Rock to really see and observe these seabirds up close in their natural habitat.
Enjoy the quaint and ancient streets of North Berwick with their lovely Victorian shops and where lunch can be taken.
The National Museum of Flight near the village of East Fortune is housed in a perfectly preserved World War II training airfield. The site is famous for the first ever transatlantic crossing to New York on 2nd July 1919 by airship. The Museum contains a significant collection of military and civil aircraft in the preserved hangers. Exhibits include Concorde, the supersonic airliner, a Spitfire, a rocket powered Messerschmidt, a De Havilland Comet, the worlds first jet airliner, as well as one of the Vulcan Bombers used in the Falklands War. Other aircraft are the English Electric Lightning and Blackburn Buccaneer Bomber. There are plenty of interactive displays to enjoy and practice your flying skills. (Please note that during the winter months the National Museum of Flight is open at weekends only).
This is a full day tour with lunch at North Berwick however can be shortened to a half day tour if desired by missing out some of the attractions. Contact us for more information.
