White Rose - The Mary Queen of Scots Tour
First ever walking tour about Mary Queen of Scots in Edinburgh! Learn about this famous Scottish monarch!
Take the first ever walking tour in Edinburgh about the famous royal and discover the dramatic events that took place in the city, during her short and turbulent reign.
My name is Chris Trotter. During this tour I will give you a potted history of this amazing and beautiful woman, for whom I have the greatest admiration. Allow me to share my passion with you, and hopefully instil in you, a passion of your own.
I will take you from Holyrood Palace, where she lived, to Edinburgh Castle, where she gave birth to her son James VI of Scotland and I of England.
Hear what happened to her during her six year reign and find out what kind of woman she was.
I have nine years experience as a tour guide, telling stories with humour and liveliness!
This tour caters for all sorts of people. I have an understanding and experience of people with learning difficulties and other mental health issues.
Please be aware the tour is on an incline, taking you from Holyrood Palace up to Edinburgh Castle. However we do stop a lot, so time to rest and there are places to sit. The tour will go at your pace if you are a little slower than others in the group.
Well behaved dogs welcome!
Tours will leave from Abbey Strand outside Holyrood Palace at 2pm Wed-Sun
