A Perfect Blend of Scotland’s Scenery, History & Whisky

This tour which is from my Bespoke Collection, also known as "The Easter Ross & Sutherland Saga" on my website, offers an unforgettable 6 hour journey through the heart of the Scottish Highlands, where breath-taking landscapes, rich history, and world-famous whisky come together for the ultimate shore excursion.

Your adventure begins as we collect you near the Invergordon cruise port and set off through stunning countryside, traveling over the scenic Struie Hill, where a spectacular viewpoint offers sweeping vistas of the Dornoch Firth—a perfect introduction to the beauty of the Highlands.

We then make our way to the majestic Falls of Shin, where, if the season is right, you may witness wild salmon leaping upstream—a true spectacle of nature! From here, we pass through the charming villages of Lairg and Rogart, soaking in the peaceful rural atmosphere before arriving at the fairytale-like Dunrobin Castle. This stunning ancestral home of the Dukes of Sutherland boasts ornate gardens and an impressive history, offering a glimpse into Scotland’s aristocratic past.

Next, we venture into the historic town of Dornoch, a place rich with character and charm. Stroll through its quaint streets, visit whisky shops filled with rare finds, admire the beautiful Dornoch Cathedral, or even take a moment to enjoy the golden sands of its pristine beach.

Of course, no Highland tour is complete without a taste of Scotland’s most famous export—whisky! Our final stop takes us to one (or time permitting, both) of the region’s most renowned distilleries:

🄃 Balblair Distillery – One of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, known for its time-honoured whisky-making traditions.

🄃 Glenmorangie Distillery – Famous for its smooth, complex flavours and towering copper stills.

If desired, we can also include a visit to some unique Highland craft shops, such as Tain Pottery, ANTA, or Glassstorm, where you’ll find beautiful handcrafted goods to take home as a special reminder of your journey.

After a day filled with spectacular sights, rich history, and fine whisky, we’ll return you comfortably to Invergordon, ensuring you’re back at your ship in plenty of time.

Explore world-renowned distilleries and hidden gems, enjoying exclusive tastings and behind-the-scenes tours. Savour rare whiskies at scenic viewpoints, with tailored experiences and privileged access for unforgettable memories.
