West Highland Way Walking Holidays
Follow Scotland's most famous, most dramatic and most popular Great Trail with a self-guided walking holiday along the West Highland Way. Traverse inimitable highland scenery between welcoming Scottish towns and villages with Contours Holidays.
Contours Holidays offer walking and trail running holidays along this iconic route. All our adventures are self-guided, so start dates are entirely flexible and you can build your group from friends and family - or choose to head off on a solo adventure.
Meanwhile, we'll take the weight off with daily luggage transfers, overnight accommodation and morning breakfast, 24/7 emergency support, all the expert advice you need, and the maps and guidebooks to see you along the trail.
Contours offer three holidays along the West Highland Way:
The Complete West Highland Way: For Walkers and For Runners
On the West Highland Way, you'll cover 95 miles as you climb, hike and scramble through some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland. The route tours from Milngavie to Fort William through the famous Highlands, wandering the banks of Loch Lomond and cutting across Rannoch Moor. Complete the trail over five to nine days on our walking holidays, or pick up the pace and run the route over three to six days on a trail running adventure.
West Highland Way: South Section
Keep to the lower level, more approachable pathways of the southern half of the West Highland Way on this shortened walking holiday from Milngavie to Crianlarich, complete with stunning views over Loch Lomond. We offer this walking holiday option over three to five days of walking.
West Highland Way: North Section
Explore the highest, most challenging sections of the West Highland Way with a self-guided walking holiday along its northern half. This 49-mile-long trek heads from Crianlarich to Fort William over three to five days of walking.
Our itineraries are flexible. Choose your start date with complete flexibility, truncate the tour to your taste, or add extra nights at stops of your choosing to build in some rest days and explore each place in full.
