Summer Cairngorms and Northeast Scotland Wildlife Photography Experience

Join wildlife photographer Paul McDougall on an unforgettable wildlife photography experience to the Cairngorms and the North East of Scotland.

On this tour we will search for Ospreys, Badgers, Pine Marten, Red Squirrels, Beavers and all of the species that are found in abundance in this area of Scotland.

Over the course of the week you will participate in the following activities:

• 2 Badger hide evenings where we hope to see and capture images of these beautiful animals. The hides are located near to the badger sets and have been established for years so the opportunity to capture images is good.
• 2 hide sessions for Red Squirrel and Pine Marten. Probably the best location in the UK to have a chance of photographing Pine Martens in daylight.
• 1 early morning hide session to capture images of the Ospreys fishing. A truly spectacular experience with these incredible birds fishing close to the hide with you at eye level to the water.
• 1 hide session for Red Kites and Red Squirrels, The Red Kite hide gives an amazing opportunity to capture these stunning birds at relative close quarters and the friendly Red Squirrels can provide some very close up experiences.
• An evening in a hide watching Pine Marten, Badger and on extremely rare occasions the Scottish Wildcat. Viewing is under floodlights and can be a very late night, but the rewards can be superb.
• 1 Beaver walk along the river looking for these reintroduced UK mammals. There are several families in this location and we will attempt to find them and stay with them for the evening.
• Sea Bird and Gannet viewing on the cliffs in the Northeast of Scotland. Enjoy cliff top views of the amazingly diverse species resident in Scotland

It is an action packed tour full of wildlife experiences but we will explore the area and visit many great wildlife locations both on foot and in the vehicle when time permits

The tour is flexible and will only be a small group and can be privately booked depending on requirements.

You will have the opportunity to capture some great images of some rare and elusive wildlife guided throughout by Paul.

Paul has been visiting and guiding in this region of Scotland for years and knows the area well and where to look for specific species. His experience will help you achieve the images that you want.
