From the beautiful Rosslyn Chapel, of which Dan Brown’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’ was inspired to the beautiful market town of Melrose and its stunning Abbey, this tour will give you a different side to the luscious history Scotland has to offer! Tour description - Our tour sets of from Edinburgh. A short trip north takes us to Rosslyn and it’s beautiful chapel. A former monastery, Rosslyn Chapel is said to be of great historical importance and is also featured in the book ‘The Da Vinci Code’ by Dan Brown. You will have a chance to explore the Chapel and hear about the talas and significance of this beautiful medieval chapel. Then it’s back on the bus as we head south to the stunning market village of Melrose. You will be free to explore the picturesque village and sample some local cuisine or take in the incredible Abbey. Our last stop on the tour as we head south is Hadrian’s Wall. The wall said to be built by The Romans to ‘keep the Scottish in’. There will be the chance for photos and a short walk along the wall to take in the history before we head back to Edinburgh to finish the tour!
