Night Snorkelling & Swimming

Join us for a completely unique experience during the Autumn, Winter and Spring from Oban! Swimming in the night with a floodlight, we can find unusual, nocturnal marine life.

Tour at a Glance

  • Exciting Autumn-Winter-Sping Tour!
  • Small Groups - Minimum 4 - Max 6 Snorkellers
  • £85 per person + hire gear if required
  • Unique Experience to see Nocturnal Marine Life
  • Starts/Ends Dunstaffnage Marina, Oban

During the darker months we can take advantage of the earlier sunsets to explore the ocean in a totally different light! As well as scuba diving we offer out night snorkelling trips which require no dive certifications. The shallows are host to an abundance of nocturnal life, and the calm water means you can focus your full attention to spotting critters in your torch beam! The torchlight highlights the water and you can spot hidden marine life you may not have seen during the day.

Our floodlights on the boat enhance the experience by creating a huge pool of light which makes an amazing atmosphere to snorkel! If we turn off the lights in the dark, there is also the chance to see bioluminescence, a really magical experience.

This is a truly unique snorkel and with only a small group it's a really special activity to try during the darker months.

During the Autumn the sea is warmed by the Gulf Stream, meaning the water is still as warm as the summer. The early spring is a little colder in the water, however, our 8mm wetsuits will keep you warm throughout the experience!

Visiting during the summer? Then check out our snorkelling trips and SUP sessions!
