The Ultimate Day Tour of Scotland

Embark on an epic 12-hour adventure with our private Loch Ness Day Tour.

Tours of Scotland rarely have such a full itinerary.

Travel through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of Scotlands Highlands with your very own Scottish guide

An epic Loch Ness adventure awaits.

Marvel at the beauty of Scotland and keep your eyes peeled for “Nessie”

Sightings of the Loch Ness Monster are not as rare as you might think!

Hear first hand the folklore and bloody history that shaped Scotland.

Tours of Scotland

Departing at 08:00 hrs and after a photo stop at Doune Castle and coffee in the village of Callander, we cross the “Highland Line”

Doune Castle is famous as Castle Leoch in the hit TV series Outlander and makes a great photo opportunity.

The “Highland Line” or “Highland fault line” is a series of mountains and lochs (Scottish Lakes)

that for centuries separated Highland Clans from Lowland Scots

The highland village of Callander is often called the “Gateway to the Highlands”

Glencoe

Our tour of Scotland continues to the world-famous Glencoe.

Scotlands most famous and infamous Glen (Valley)

Where better to hear the tragic tale of the Massacre of Glencoe, than actually standing in Scotlands most famous glen.

A dark day in Scottish Clan history from 1692 that still casts a shadow over these lands

Glencoe is famous for its beauty and infamous for its history.

Loch Ness

In the afternoon you can explore the highland village of Fort Augustus or join a boat trip onto Loch Ness.

Alternatively, highland shops, pubs and lunch options line the river and the famous Caledonian Canal is fantastic to walk along.

The Caledonian Canal Centre is located in the village and tells the incredible story of this mighty engineering undertaking from the early 1800s and is a great visitor attraction.

Take a boat trip on Loch Ness

Experience Loch Ness from the water and search for the Loch Ness Monster on the family-friendly boat trips that depart on the hour.

Nessie, as she is affectionately known was first spotted in Loch Ness in the 6th Century and is still spotted from time to time.

After the return of the Loch Ness boat cruise, we depart Fort Augustus.

Cairngorm National Park

After leaving the famous Loch Ness behind, we travel into the boundaries of the Cairngorm National Park.

The largest of Scotlands two National Parks and home to the Cairngorm Plateau, wild scenery and rare flora and fauna.

Highland Perthshire, once a favoured holiday destination by Queen Victoria is next as we continue south.

Passing from highland Scotland to lowland Scotland, we gradually travel back to the River Forth and the famous rail bridge.

The “Forth” is one of Scotlands most important rivers.

The Forth Rail Bridge is now Unesco protected having been in full operation since 1890.

A photograph of the bridge from South Queensferry is a fantastic way to end our Loch Ness Day Tour.
