Loch Lomond National Park, Stirling Castle & the Kelpies

Delve deep into Scotland's history with a visit to Stirling Castle. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Loch Lomond National Park and marvel at the complexity and engineering of the Kelpies.

Departing Edinburgh our tour begins with a visit to the world's largest equine sculptures The Kelpies. The Kelpies are a monument to Scotland’s horse-powered industrial heritage. See for yourself the complexity and the engineering that created these stunning pieces of art.

Nestled within Scotland’s first National Park and perched on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond lies the village of Balloch. Here passengers can opt in to a leisurely cruise on the loch. Watch out for wildlife and the chance to see deer, osprey and even wallabies! Those who wish to stay on the land can explore Balloch country park with its superb views over the loch.

We will then make our way through Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The Dukes Pass is a scenic route we take through the heart of the park. Picture postcards at every corner, its forest covered mountains and shimmering highland lochs will take your breath away. Keep your camera ready as you may spot a Hairy Coo or two while on the way to this beautiful road. Our passengers will have time to enjoy a spot of lunch in the National Park.

The final stop of the day is, Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s most important castles. The castle is closely linked to many key figures in Scottish history. Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Bonnie Prince Charlie all battled for Scotland in years gone by and have subsequently left their mark here in Stirling. Overlooking the city, high on the Abbey Craig is the Wallace Monument. Built 150 years ago to commemorate Scotland’s ‘Braveheart’ William Wallace.
