Scotland's first ever National Park was founded in 2002, though the scenic beauty, lovely villages, wonderful locals, wildlife and all the other magical qualities which make this one of the best places to visit in Scotland have been here for a lot longer.
Covering 720 square miles, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is a fair old size and has a diverse range of landscape and sightseeing opportunities. From the bonnie bonnie banks of Scotland's largest Loch (Lake), Loch Lomond, at 44 sq miles (71 sq km), to the rugged tops of the Arrochar Alps and the scenic single track roads of the Trossachs to name just a few.
Loch Lomond boasts a lot of British records, it's the largest fresh water Loch (Lake), it has the most islands of any fresh water Loch and also the largest fresh water island in Inchmurrin. Most of the islands are uninhabited and filled with wildlife such as Fallow Deer, Roe Deer, Ospreys, Peregrine falcons, Otters, Capercaillie and.....?
If you want a truly unique and one of a kind Loch Lomond adventure, in the comfort of only a few more travelers, where you actually get out and enjoy the land, this is the tour that will give you that proper Loch Lomond and Trossachs experience.
