There are many aspects to the north coast. As we travel across the north coast, we look at renewable energy sites, as well as the Geopark. Nature Scot assisted with the publication of the book "The North Highland Way - a Geological Perspective.

We will travel across the north coast, linking up with the local communities and renewing business acquaintances. This is a recce to look at the areas which need better path infrastructure as part of the development of the North Highland Way as a multi use route.

There are many renewable installations across the north coast, and of course Dounreay. There is no visitor centre these days, but we will look again at the potential for getting off road.

We will visit six spots of interest. More information on booking.

Price does not include accommodation or victualling. Clients will need to book their own, and provide their own transport. We can advise on buses if necessary. Maximum 10 people.

Enjoy a great day out exploring the north coast of Scotland on foot, mountain bike or on horseback. We can provide a passport to check into the churches along the route and help with great wildlife watching spots. There are in fact two routes, one along the coast and the other over A'Mhoine.

Opening times

This is self guided, so no opening times, but you will need to check the opening times of the various churches as they change constantly.
