Edinburgh Complete - Winter
On this multi-day tour, you'll have ample time to explore the Scottish capital, Edinburgh on a winter tour. You'll also travel to the famous Scottish Highlands and visit St Andrews and east coast villages, to get a taste of the countryside.
Get the best of both worlds with a multi-day tour of Scotland. On this week-long trip, you’ll stay in Edinburgh and take part in guided day tours with expert, local guides.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN EDINBURGH
Upon your arrival in Edinburgh, make your way to your hotel in the city centre. If you arrive early in the day, we recommend spending the afternoon walking through the city, strolling along the grand streets of the New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
DAY 2: SECRETS OF THE ROYAL MILE & EDINBURGH CASTLE
You have the morning to explore Edinburgh as you wish. This afternoon, you'll join a guided walking tour of the Old Town, learning how people used to live. Then you'll skip the line to visit Edinburgh Castle.
Included: Walking tour and Edinburgh Castle entrance
DAY 3: LOCH NESS, GLEN COE & THE HIGHLANDS
Today, you join a small group tour into the Highlands to see the beauty of Scotland's winter landscape. Your local guide will tell you stories on the way to Loch Ness, Glen Coe and the Cairngorms National Park.
Included: Guided bus tour to the Highlands and Loch Ness Cruise
DAY 4: EDINBURGH AT YOUR LEISURE
You have another day to explore Edinburgh and visit landmarks and attractions that interest you. You could walk up Calton Hill, visit the Royal Britannia ship, try a whisky experience or book another optional day tour.
DAY 5: FISHING VILLAGES OF FIFE
On today's guided group tour, you head east to see the coastal scenery of Scotland. Your expert guide will stop in Anstruther, famous for its fish and chips, before continuing to St Andrews. It is the historic "home of golf" and the country's oldest university. Later, you'll stop by the charming Falkland before coming back to Edinburgh.
Included: Guided bus tour to Fife
DAY 6: CHARMS OF GLASGOW
You have another free day ahead of you to enjoy as you please. Glasgow is a good idea for a day trip. Catch the train to go for a wander or shopping spree in Scotland's largest city.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM SCOTLAND
Today you say goodbye to Scotland. If your flight is in the afternoon, you may take your last few hours to do some last-minute shopping, visit one of Edinburgh’s many museums, or take one last stroll through the charming city centre.
