Georgian New Town and Stockbridge – this elegant tour takes in the best of Scottish food – gin-smoked Scottish salmon, four Scottish cheese tastings with Fife oatcakes, haggis – meat or veggie with creamed potatoes and peppercorn sauce, Edinburgh gin liqueur and fizz, scones jam and cream and marshmallows or doughnuts made on the spot in the largest Georgian preserved city in the world.

Tours run 11am or 1pm taking in the architecture and history of the UNESCO heritage New Town and the village of Stockbridge and last three hours and equal a substantial lunch with a Edinburgh Food Safari goodie bag for extra cheeses and oatcakes.

Eat and Drink Like An Edinburgh Local with Edinburgh Food Safari Edinburgh Food Safari offers two unique-off-the-beaten-track, guided food historical walking tours in the Georgian UNESCO heritage New Town, (best of Scottish produce) and a more international themed one on Leith Walk, all in the central of Edinburgh. Tours are two/three hours long – six stops so a substantial lunch. Tour groups are in small numbers; maximum 10 guests , but I can easily accommodate more guests as I can increase guides and vary meeting points and vary time and days. Extra dates can be added to suit.

Opening times

The Eat Scotland three-hour food safaris run (1pm - 4pm on Thursdays and Saturdays) and 11.30 am on Sunday morning and the two-hour Eat The World Leith Walk (12-2pm) on Wednesdays and Fridays.
