Classic Edinburgh Full Day Tour
This tour is popular with visitors who have a full day to visit all of the major landmarks of Edinburgh's Old and New Towns. Your driver/guide provides a running commentary and makes frequent stops at the various landmarks.
In partnership with the National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland we have been certified that “We’re Good To Go.”
This certification recognises that we are following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring that processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
As the guidelines will gradually change over the coming weeks and months, we will advise our clients at the time of:
- The appropriate social distancing measures
- The provision & use of hand sanitisers
- Use of face masks (where appropriate & recommended)
- Thorough cleaning & sanitising protocols after evert tour
The aim of this tour is to show you as many of the sights of Edinburgh as possible during the 8 hours that the tour will last.
Because this tour lasts around 8 hours, it allows more flexibility for visitors to choose what they would like to visit. We understand that every group will have different requirements for their tour. So let us know what you are keen to see and we can put an itinerary together for you.
However, we will aim to ensure that your tour will take in the Old Town of Edinburgh, including stops at the Grassmarket, infamous for executions, George Heriot's school, the inspiration for JK Rowling's Hogwarts.
Then we will make our way to the start of the Royal Mile, stopping at Gladstone's Land, Deacon Brodies, the Heart of Midlothian, St Giles Cathedral, Mary King's Close, the Old Tollbooth, the Canongate Kirk, the Palace of Holyrood House, and Arthur's Seat.
From there, we will then take in the splendor and elegance of the New Town and the Dean Village where you will see why the wealthy inhabitants of the city moved there in the 18th century.
If you wish to visit inside any of the major attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyrood House or the Royal Yacht Britannia, then let us know and we see how it fits into the overall schedule.
