Chauffeur Driven Distillery Tour of Scotland
Let Little's handle the driving whilst you experience Scotland's finest and most sought after whiskies by private chauffeur driven car.
Scotland is the home of the world’s finest malt whiskies and no visit to the greatest small country on earth would be complete without immersing yourself in the world of Scotch Whisky.
A keen-eyed enthusiast will, as your plane descends into Glasgow Airport, be able to spot the long dark roofs of the warehouses which are home to maturing barrels of your favourite drink. With both Auchentoshan and Glengoyne Distilleries within easy reach of Glasgow, this makes an ideal place to begin your visit to Scotland. Situated approx. 10 miles to the west of the city, the Auchentoshan Distillery, is categorised as a Lowland Malt. In recent years this has become a well-respected and much-loved malt largely because of the practice of triple distillation, giving the finished product a smooth and sweet character unique to this malt.
With the options of Islay, Highland and Speyside as your whisky destinations, which of these you choose will be largely dependent on the time you have at your disposal. Islay, the most famous of the islands, which is home to no less than eight distilleries, will require at least a two-night stay as part of a chauffeur driven tour. After a visit here, you could then head south to Campbeltown - home to Springbank before returning to Glasgow via the Isle of Arran, the island in the Firth of Clyde often described as ‘Scotland in miniature’.
Speyside is probably the most famous of all the areas where whisky is produced in Scotland. With over 40 distilleries in the area, it is a magnet for whisky lovers and you can reach it in just over 2 hours after leaving Glasgow or Edinburgh.
With your chauffeur on hand to look after your every need and ensure that you can travel across the country in luxury, there can be no better way to experience Uisge-beatha. Slangevar.
