The Cairngorm 4000ers Classic

The Cairngorm 4000ers adventure journey is for the outdoor adventurer who seeks the more remote places. This walking trip in Scotland starts with an iconic scramble to the summit of Caringorm. From here you hike to the highest peak in the Cairngorms; Ben Macdui. Hear the folk lore myths and history of the land you are walking in before setting up camp under the stars in the Lairig Ghru. On the second day you take on the Braeriach traverse where you will reach the summits of Devils Point, Cairn Toul, Angel’s Peak and Braeriach.

Important Information

Grade and Experience

This trip is challenging and is suited for those with experience of hill walking. In windy conditions it can become more challenging. In bad weather some routes may have to be re-directed for the safety and well being of the group. The Cairngorm Five 4000ers trip is suitable for confident hill walkers but it is not essential to have navigation skills.
