Glenfinnan Viaduct

1-Day Glens, Coasts & The Harry Potter Train

Explore Scotland's famous national parks, historic towns, and stunning Glen Coe views, and ride the real Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter films.

We set off from Glasgow bright and early, heading through the breathtaking Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. From there, we journey across the wild and rugged Rannoch Moor, stopping at the iconic Glen Coe where the scenery is absolutely mind-blowing.

Next up, it's time for the legendary Hogwarts Express! Departing from Fort William, the Jacobite Steam Train heads towards the stunning west coast, crossing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, just like in the Harry Potter films. We’ll hop off in Mallaig, a charming fishing town where you can grab lunch and maybe sample some fresh local seafood. Afterward, we continue along the scenic Appin coast, passing Kilchurn Castle on the shores of Loch Awe.

Next, we make our way to Inveraray, a historic town nestled by the tranquil waters of Loch Fyne. After a quick explore, end the day with epic views of the Arrochar Alps, as we cross the Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint, returning to Glasgow in the evening.
