Doune Castle

1 Day Castles, Clans & Outlander

Ready to chase Jamie through time? Join us on an epic journey from Glasgow to the iconic Outlander filming locations! With a local guide sharing the history and stories, you’ll visit several fan-favourites.

We begin our journey in Glasgow and head to Doune Castle, known to Outlander fans as Castle Leoch. This impressive 14th-century fortress serves as the home of Clan MacKenzie. As you explore, imagine life in the Highlands as seen in the series

Next, we’ll visit Culross, the quaint village that became the fictional Cranesmuir. Wander the cobblestone streets and don't miss Claire’s herb garden—it’s even more stunning up close!

Afterward, we’re off to Falkland, the town transformed into 1940s Inverness. Take some time here to enjoy lunch and admire the iconic Bruce Fountain, where Jamie’s ghost first appeared in the show.

Then, we’ll reach Midhope Castle, better known as Lallybroch, Jamie’s cherished family home. While the interior is derelict, you can explore the scenic grounds and capture some photos. It truly feels like stepping into the series!

Lastly, we visit Blackness Castle, standing in for Fort William. Take in the breathtaking views over the Firth of Forth before we return to Glasgow, just in time for dinner.
