We are a locally owned, family run community pharmacy, based in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. We offer a range of pharmaceutical services and also sell OTC medicines, toiletries, baby products, gifts and toys.

KJ Macdonald Ltd is a family run community pharmacy in the heart of Stornoway’s town centre. The business was established in 1920 by the current owner, Karen’s, Great Grandfather. His nickname locally was Kenny ‘Frogan’ and since then the shop has been fondly known as Kenny Frogans.

The shop has been through many changes in the last 100 years and we pride ourselves in providing the best service that we can to our local community.

The services that we offer include:

*Prescription delivery
*Prescription collection from the local doctors surgery
*Consultation area for private discussion with the Pharmacist
*Pharmacy First
*NHS, Private and Veterinary prescription dispensing
*Gluten free food service
*Medication destruction
*Emergency hormonal contraception

In addition to this we have a full range of Over the Counter Medications and our Counter Staff and Pharmacists are always happy to give advice when required. We carry a full of stock of toiletries, vitamins, personal care and first aid items. We even stock insect repellent to try and keep the Midgies at bay!

The bottom of the shop is given over to a range of gifts and souvenirs. We stock jewellery by Couer de Lion, Fiorelli and Glenna and a large variety of perfume including Chanel. Our candle and diffuser ranges include Yankee, Woodwick, Lily Flame, Atlantic Lights, Shearer Candles and Marmalade. We sell a range of Harris tweed bags, purses and wallets as well as the locally produced skincare range Ishga.
