Vogrie park has 105 hectares of woods and Victorian parkland including a 1876 Victorian mansion - part of which is open to the public, a nine-hole golf course, adventure playground and an excellent cafeteria.

There are 11.5 miles of signed countryside paths through woodlands and the Tyne Valley.

The park also contains a section of the 13-mile Tyne Esk Trail for horse riders.

The Tree Top Café is in Vogrie House.

The Cedar Tree Café within Vogrie House has a Soft Play area

We have an events field and 2 barbeque sites for private hire, and 2 outdoor shelters suitable for up to 30 persons. To book the barbeque site please phone during office hours:

ree resource boxes are available to all, full of useful equipment to pond dip, mini beast hunt or to explore the nature of the park.

Schools and groups

Free curricular based environmental education activities for schools and groups are organised and led by the Ranger Service.
