With no prior experience required, join us for a hands-on sailing trip to a variety of locations. Explore Shetland's coasts and waters or take a longer trip to farther flung locations, such as Faroe, Norway and St Kilda

We have a variety of Shetland sailing trips on offer April - Oct around Shetlands Mainland as well as its outer isles, including Noss, Mousa, Whalsay, Skerries, Yell, Unst, Fair Isle and Foula.

We also offer trips in and to other locations, including Orkney, Norway, Faroe, the Western Isles and St Kilda.

When you come aboard Swan you are undertaking an adventure. Part of the ‘hands on’ crew for that trip, you will come under the command of the skipper and play an active role in sailing and working this traditional boat.

Swan is ideally sized – small enough to visit small unexplored anchorages, yet large enough to be a joy to sail. On board the atmosphere is relaxed and sociable. Living and working in close quarters, you will get to know your crewmates well and form friendships which continue long after the trip is over.

Built in 1900, the Swan was a successful sail fishing vessel for many years. Fully restored and converted into a sail training and charter vessel, she now carries passengers and also offers life changing sail training opportunities to Shetland and Scottish youths aged under 25.
