The Edinburgh Playhouse
The Edinburgh Playhouse is the largest theatre in the UK, and hosts the top touring musicals from Broadway and the West End. We also enjoy huge events, like Edinburgh's biggest comedy show, The Comedy Gala, and a host of concerts and 'one night only' extravaganzas. 2014 saw The Playhouse stage The Lion King, Evita, West Side Story, and the global phenomenon Wicked. THEATRE TOURS
Step out onto the stage of the Edinburgh Playhouse, go behind the scenes into the secret world of backstage, smell the greasepaint, hear about our resident ghost and learn all about our beautiful theatre! A truly unique Edinburgh experience. A fantastic opportunity to step on stage, go up to the fly floor for a bird’s eye view of the stage and much, much more! Tours are available on selected Saturdays and midweek matinee mornings for a number of upcoming shows at The Edinburgh Playhouse. Tours begin at 10.30am and last approximately 90 minutes.
