McLaren’s Nurseries Ltd is an independent, family owned business that has been operating for over 45 years and we are the largest nursery in Scotland. We pride ourselves on growing hardy, Scottish produced plants at affordable prices.

Our story began back in 1970 when Bob and Ruth McLaren chose to embrace their hobby of growing plants. Starting with a small holding in Inchinnan the company slowly grew. After two seasons Bob and Ruth moved to Ardrossan and opened Stanley Nursery. The nursery went from strength to strength and in 1983 Bob and Ruth purchased land on this very site. Starting with a bare field Bob and Ruth slowly built up the business to become the largest nursery in Scotland. McLaren’s remains very much a family business with three generations now working here. We pride ourselves on growing hardy, Scottish produced plants at affordable prices. Suppling a vast range of customers from retail customers purchasing single items, small independent garden centres and nurseries to large scale landscaping projects which require thousands of items.
