The outstanding natural beauty of the Loch and its surrounding area has inspired and captivated people for centuries and we are no different.
The Loch, which is the greatest expanse of fresh water in the United Kingdom is all about contrasts, from the high mountainous fjord like north to the wooded islands and fertile lowlands in the south. We too are all about contrasts and have established a range of award winning ales from traditional and malty to new and exciting IPA’s.
Loch Lomond is a captivating and magical place which has a special place in the heart of so many all over the world. We have taken inspiration from the area and harnessed its most plentiful natural resource ‘water’ to create modern craft beers of outstanding quality and consistency. We brew all our ales with Maris Otter malt, recognised by many brewers as the finest malt available. Our malts are carefully blended and brewed with a variety of hops to create our award winning recipes. In the last few years we have increased the use of new world hops to add a new and exciting dimension to our recipes.
Loch Lomond Brewery has its very own strain of yeast. The yeast is cropped from one brew and used on the next. The original strain of yeast is stored in a lab and cultured to provide us with a fresh stain every 3 months.
