Kilchattan Bay Kayaking opened in 2022. In 2023 we became a British Canoeing Delivery Partner, ensuring high levels of safety and customer service. Hire of Sit-on Kayaks and SUPs (Stand-up Paddlebords) from the Old Pier in the centre of Kilchattan Bay village.

Kilchattan Bay is a tranquil and safe environment, and an ideal spot to enjoy some time on the water whilst engaging in a healthy activity.

Sit-on Kayaks and Paddleboards can be hired by the hour. Junior kayaks and paddleboards are also available. Wetsuits and bouyancy aids are provided. Prices are on our website. Little or no experience is required to paddle these craft.

A public WC with wheelchair access is located by the Quay. Picnic tables are available on the Quay itself. The Post Office Tea Room is located 300 metres away.

Kilchattan Bay is a shallow C shaped bay with a sandy beach to the west of the quay. At low water a variety of bird life can be observed at the water's edge.

We are open 7 days a week from 10,00 am to 5.00 pm during the summer holidays. We can open outside of the season for advance bookings, weather permitting. We can open for hire during evenings by prior arrangement. Hire of equipment is dependent on safe weather conditions. Please check our Facebook page for daily weather updates.
