Calling all young adventurers ~ operation fun awaits at Fort Douglas! Run, slide, fly, climb and explore the most magical adventure playground. Bridges and slides, turreted treehouses, zip wires, rope bridges, climbing walls and tunnels await. Perfect for children up to 12 years, with a toddler play area for under 5s. Let the adventures begin…
Run amongst the trees, across suspension bridges, climb nets, logs and walls. You'll find play perfect for toddlers in Mini Maze and for older children, explore Sky Maze with turreted treehouses, slides and zip lines. PLUS, adults can go on everything too so the whole family can play together. Yipee! The Fort Douglas Food and Drink Cabin is open at peak times too for snacks and coffees. At busy times our adventure playground tickets can sell out, so please do book online in advance. It is not always possible to purchase tickets on the day of your visit.
What’s more, it’s all set in 1,000 acres at the stunning Dalkeith Country Park with waymarked walking and cycling routes plus the Restoration Yard Store, Restaurant and Fitness Studio. Restoration Yard has something for every member of the family. Enjoy waiter service in The Kitchen for breakfast or lunch with kids menu available. For a more informal light bite head along to The Coffee Bar for cakes, scones, soups, sandwiches, kids lunchboxes and the best coffee around. To grab things to go, The Larder is open every day for take-away and welcomes dogs.
