Eglinton Country Park is situated within the historic boroughs of Kilwinning and Irvine and was developed around the ancient Eglinton Estate, home for 600 years to the Earls of Eglinton and Winton.
Whatever the season, there are a range of activities to enjoy the beauty of the tranquil area; walking, horse riding, fishing, cycling or simply watching the world go by. This free visitor attraction has waymarked routes and trails, from a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) trail to the heritage trail, there is something to suit everyone!
We have an all abilities play park including two wheelchair accessible swings and a variety of play equipment designed to challenge and stimulate all abilities. For children under 8 there is a fenced play area.
A programme of events, such as guided walks, are organised throughout the year by the countryside rangers.
Café @ the Park in the courtyard offers a selection of fresh rolls, sandwiches, soups and scrumptious cakes or you could make use of the free picnic areas and BBQ stations in the park.
There are two fields available to hire suitable for a host of events including community fun days, markets and lots more. A facility block containing showers and toilets located near the fields is also available.
The Racquet Hall is an ideal space to host a variety of events including conferences, exhibitions and activities.

Getting there by railway:- From Irvine Railway Station follow signs for Kilwinning. Immediately after crossing the dual carriageway (A78) via the flyover trun right to Eglinton Country Park, before the Kilwinning town speed limits.
Getting there by aeroplane:- From Prestwick International Airport - follow signs for the A78 north to Greenock. Where the A78 bypasses the town of Irvine follow the sign for Eglinton Interchange and then Eglinton Country Park. Distance approx. 10 miles.
