East, Shop and Garden the Very Best of Scotland at Dunbar Garden Centre. Situated just off the A1 in the seaside town of Dunbar, extend your day out by visiting Dunbar Castle and John Muir's Birthplace.
The garden centre has five departments, proudly supplying local produce whever possible. Our unique glass building houses our restaurant, serving delicious home-prepared meals, cakes and snacks. The homeware department provides a range of cards, candles, cookware and a host of gifts and furniture to suit any home or kitchen. Our Farm Shop sells the best of local produce from East Lothian and the surrounding areas. You’ll find a large range tropical and fresh water fish in our Aquatics department, with a smaller reptiles and pet area. We also sell stylish outdoor country clothing and footwear. All of our staff are knowledgable of our products and are happy to provide help and advice in store.
Our large outdoor plant area sells a wide variety of plants such bedding, perennials and shrubs. We continually re-stock to suit the changing seasons and provide you with the freshest quality plants. Dunbar is also serviced by our nursery, Plantsplus (north of Newcastle), which allows us to have a continually changing and fresh stock of plants and shrubbery. Our garden sundries range from seeds, bulbs, and propagation equipment to garden tools, pots, decorative stoneware and fencing products. At Dunbar Garden Centre we are very proud of the environmental designs that have been incorporated into our building. The silo to the rear of the garden centre houses 15 tons of wood pellets which supplies the biomass boiler, used to heat the garden centre during the winter months through the under floor heating system. Solar panels have been installed on our roof and a water storage tank is used to irrigate the outdoor plants.
