The original family-run ‘Pick Your Own' soft fruit enterprise in Scotland, offers a purpose-built Farm Café and Shop, Funyard, a huge array of seasonal fruit picking (including the original Scottish pumpkin patch in Scotland during October – the 24th year of PYO pumpkins!) and a 6-acre Mega Maze set in the beautiful Fife countryside. The Cairnie Mega Maze is an artistically designed labyrinth of pathways and blind alleys redesigned and sown in maize each year! A wholesome day of fun for everyone.
Farm Café and Shop
The spacious indoor/outdoor Cairnie Café boasts some of the best home baking in Fife, excellent specialty coffee & tea, wonderful views, friendly service and a hearty and delicious all day hot food menu.
Funyard
The Funyard is packed with fun activities. Highlights include the pedal go-cart track and the giant straw bale climbing fortress. There are also sunken trampolines, a massive sand box, crazy swings, slides, a “young farmers yard” with ride on peddle tractors, loaders & trailers, an XL bouncing pillow, 30m flying fox, a 4wd ATV Barrel Bug Ride and more!
Mega Maze
The Mega Maze, sown in maize, grows to a height in excess of 8 feet. By mid July when the Maze officially opens, the maize will already have grown 4-5 feet in height. The crop grows at an astonishing average rate of an inch a day! The artistically designed labyrinth of pathways and blind alleys extend over 6 acres. Open from mid July to the end of October when it is then harvested for the process to start again with a new design each year.
Pick Your Own Fruit
The fruit farm is situated on 120 acres, 45 of which are producing top quality fruit for the highly regarded Pick Your Own and Farm Shop as well as for the supermarket soft fruit industry. On offer to pick or to buy ready-picked is an abundance of Strawberries, Raspberries, Redcurrants & Blackcurrants, Gooseberries, Cherries, Brambles and Sunflowers too! Please check availability as all fruit is seasonal. No booking required.
Pumpkin Patch
Cairnie are the original pumpkin producer in Scotland. Open in October each year with 2023 being their 24th year of PYO pumpkins. They have over 12,000 pumpkins of all sizes, shapes and colours. Booking required.
Cairnie is Open from March to November.
Funyard Passes allow unlimited access to the Funyard for the day and include Mega Maze entry once it opens in mid July.
No booking or passes are required for the Pick Your Own Fruit (except the pumpkin patch in October). Pay for what you pick!
