The World's End is a traditional Scottish bar set on Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile. Our bar retains it's traditional feel welcoming guests from all over the world as well as the friendly locals. Join us here at The World's End for a real feel of Scotland.

Lower down on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, our bar is a 16th Century listed building as our exterior wall forms part of Edinburgh's ancient Flodden Wall which used to protect what is now known as Edinburgh's historic Old Town. The gates to the city were situated outside the pub, and the brass cobbles in the road represent their exact location. The building has had a few incarnations over the years, from bakers to wine merchants, and finally as the famous bar it is now.

Billed as one of the old style pubs, The World's End pulls in tourists who walk the cobbled streets after a perfectly poured Belhaven Beer. With a small dining and bar area, it gives the place an intimate and almost old fashioned feel which is popular with tourists and locals after a dram or 2. Our menu is full of traditional Scottish favourites including our world famous Fish & Chips, a traditional homemade Steak & Ale Pie and a firm favourite with the tourists, our delicious Cullen Skink Soup. With a fantastic range of alcoholic beverages, including Cask Ales, Scottish Malt Whiskies & an extensive wine menu, there really is something for all tastes.

The World's End host live music nights every weekend which pulls in the locals as well as the tourists who are after a feel of traditional Scottish music. Open until 1am daily, there's no chance of missing out on what this fantistic pub has to offer as well as a a real insight into the history of the building as well as Edinburgh itself.
