The Ken Bridge Hotel kitchen prides itself in providing chef created meals using local produce wherever possible The hills and forest surrounding the hotel provide an abundance of venison and we source partridge and pheasant from the Mutehill Estate at Kirkcudbright. Local farmer butchers, provide the finest cuts of beef, lamb and pork with complete traceability. Homemade soups and pates, Galloway smoked salmon and trout, traditional beef and ale, home roasted whole leg gammons, sea bass, red snapper, cassoulets, tagines, casseroles and succulent chicken breast with homemade sauces. Our cheese and butter is from Lockerbie Creamery and our Yogurts from Rowan Glen. There is always a choice of homemade vegetarian dishes and we will endeavour to cater for all dietary requirements. Our home made dessrts are sheer indulgence with fresh fruit pavlova, banoffee pie, sticky toffee pudding, cranachan, cheesecakes, creme brulee and crumbles and pies made with plums, pears and apples from our kitchen garden. Our ice-cream is from Cream O Galloway or even home-made!
During the season, or by prior arrangement, we serve traditional high teas with coach parties most welcome.
Each Sunday we serve the renowned Kenbridge Carvery with a choice of three superb roasts. The carvery is a popular option for larger groups and can be provided any day or evening, once again by prior arrangement.
We provide pre-performance suppers for those going to the Catstrand but please inform us at the time of booking as we do get busy.
