The Dundee Gin company is not just Dundee by name, but also in its nature. This is true from the local produce we use, to employing local people, helping to lower the unemployment rate in Dundee, which is the 2nd highest in the UK.
We have a classic dry gin, bottled at a staggering 46% ABV, yet still very smooth, and very nice on its own with ice or with tonic and a wedge of citrus fruit.
In our Marmalade gin liqueur, we use Mackays Dundee marmalade, which is the only remaining producer of the original Dundee recipe.
Our Summer Fruits gin liqueur uses berries picked from fields within 5 miles of Dundee.
Our Dundee Cake gin liqueur was made by collaborating with local bakers Clarks bakery and Goodfellow & Steven to ensure we stay true to the Dundee cake. We think it really does justice to the flavour of a Dundee cake and captures all its flavours.
Our gin liqueurs are bottled at 26.5% ABV, which is 6.5% higher than any typical gin liqueur on the market. What's even better is that they contain a fraction of the sugar content of other gin liqueurs. We recommend serving these with a lemonade or even prosecco.
Our 'Old Tom' Honey and Spice Gin is bottled at 43% ABV and uses honey from one Dundee beehive only. From the spices it contains, it has a ubiquitous warmth in the mouth with just a hint of sweetness from the honey. Goes perfectly with ginger beer, which makes it very refreshing, especially when garnished with a lime wedge.
The Dundee Gin Company is very proud of its charitable work. Over its few years trading it has helped to raise over £118,000, by hosting events for charities very close to the heart of the founder, Peter Menzies. These include a charity gin tasting for SSAFA most recently, among other events.
We use local produce, employ local people and give back to our local community. This ensures that we can provide the best product to the best customers at the best price.
