Inspired by Scotland’s first ever steam locomotive, which was acquired by the Duke of Portland to transport coal from Kilmarnock to Troon, The Duke is a classic all-day café bar serving everything from coffee to cocktails.

Throughout the day, we serve a tempting array of breakfast, sandwiches and favourites, with an emphasis on classic comfort dishes made with the finest local ingredients. Our chefs rustle up daily specials on the regular.

Proper coffee is our passion, and we have partnered with the equally enthusiastic artisans at Rocket Monkey, who live, breathe and (hardly ever) sleep coffee. Order a cup made with their small batch, ethically-sourced Ethiopian or Brazilian beans and then try telling us they don’t make the best coffee you ever tasted!

When it comes to drinks, we have a refreshingly affordable assortment of wines, beers and house pours – best served with friends and a few of our bar bites. We’re here till late if you want to make an evening of it.
