In March 2012 Mearns T McCaskie Quality Butchers, long established in the adjoining premises to the Cafe since 1935, acquired the Cafe with the aim of transforming the Seaview and the butchers into a destination for lovers of quality food & wine.
In July 2012 the doors opened to the new look Cafe and Bistro where we want to offer customers whether it's sit in or take away the finest quality coffee and food available.

Meat
All our meat products are made in the butchers next door. We source 100% Scottish beef – grass fed from two farms renowned for the finest quality beef reared to the highest standard. We produce all our own dry cured bacon, sausages, cooked meats and all steaks which are also extra matured. With the unique bonus of having our own butchers we can guarantee complete traceability from farm to plate.
Fish
All our fish, the freshest possible, come from our good friend John Watson of C-Fayre in Largs. John sources the freshest and best fish from Glasgow markets. Our Haddock is filleted daily by John.
Coffee
Union Hand Roasted Coffee – Suppliers of our specially selected blend of Coffee. 100% Organic and fair-trade. Organic Natural Spirit Blend should satisfy the palates of every level of coffee connoisseur. You can even take home Union Coffee as we have a selection of ground coffee including our own choice blend.
Wine
Now enjoy a great selection of handpicked wines, we retail most of the wines served in the Cafe. We only add £6.00 corkage allowing our customers to enjoy great quality wines at great prices.
