Habitat Cafe opened in December 2012 in the pretty town of Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire.
Within it's first year the business received two National awards from the prestigious Beverage Standards Association:
UK Best Espresso 2013; and one of only 10 establiments across the UK to receive the maximum "Five Cup - Outstanding" accreditation. In 2014 they successfully maintained Five Cup status, and were thrilled to be assessed as winners of a newly created award, "Best Overall Experience 2014", making them, in the words of the BSA, "a venue that is without equal", partly due to the attention to detail in their offering of high grade coffees, over 25 teas (including Black, White, Green, Oolong, Puerh, and Herbal/Fruit Teas), and 5 varieties of hot chocolate!
The bar staff here are true experts in the barista craft, and are happy to advise & entertain on the subject.
Situated in a wonderful south-facing location within the town's central square, the cafe has seating for 30-50 customers at handmade farmhouse tables & outside seating, beautiful solid oak flooring, and over 7 metres of dedicated brewing bar for speciality seasonal coffees and teas from some of the best farms around the world. Their tag line is "A Few Things, Done Well", referring to their aim to use fantastic ingredients, treat them with care and respect, and offer simple yet delicious food and drinks.
Typical food offerings include
- Dunkeld Smoked Salmon Platter
